| About Highland Coffees | ||

| We are a small and friendly coffee roasting business based near Crieff in Perthshire. The business was founded by Sarah Sherlock, who personally oversees the entire operation - from selecting and ordering sacks of 'green' coffee beans right through to the packaging and despatch of beautifully presented bags of roasted coffee. Our roastery is in the stable block of a local castle. Here we store our beans in dry, cool conditions and do fresh roasts each day in response to customer orders. Our 12-kilo Probat roaster is powered by gas - giving an odour-free heat - and the combination of pure Scottish air and the finest beans gives a unique and delicious flavour to each roast. We aim to buy in coffees which stand alone in the cup - that way you can get to know the characteristics of each country's coffees. We always promote the best beans - not only to give you excellent coffee but also to encourage good prices for quality beans from the producers. Coffee is a natural product and we want to carry this concept through the business. The only decaffeinated coffee we sell is made by the natural Swiss Water Process. |
